NBF represents and markets over 200 acres of tender fruit and Romaine lettuce. The company is owned and managed by Philip R. Short, responsible for sales and marketing and has over 35 years of retail and wholesale experience and is a grower as well. The company represents 2 family farms, Sunray Orchards, & NBF Produce Ltd, both in the Vineland area. NBF supplies packaging developed by their sister company Vortex Packaging. NBF also provides cold storage facilities as required for its grower base.
NBF supplies directly to corporate chain store warehouse distribution centers in Ontario and Quebec. Working closely with the retailers has resulted in a tree ripened peach program, higher quality standards and a food safety certification program as well.
